Sunny days and dusty corners call for regular care, too. Focus on your furniture’s material, the condition of its cover and the small checks that fit your routine.

  1. Let the furniture guide the routine.

    Read the care guidance for your furniture’s finish, fabric and cushions. Follow its instructions for exposure and storage. Different materials have different needs, so a routine that suits one patio item may not suit another.

  2. Clear dust before covering.

    Remove loose dust and debris using the cleaning method your furniture permits. Check the cover’s care label before choosing a cleaner or washing method. Let cleaned surfaces and the cover dry before putting it back on.

  3. Check the product’s stated limits.

    Look for the protection information supplied for the exact cover. A sunlit product image does not establish a UV rating, and a cover should not be assumed to prevent all fading or weathering. Use the product only within its stated conditions.

  4. Make inspection an everyday habit.

    When you use your outdoor space, check the cover for wear and look beneath it for dust, debris or moisture. Keep any designed ventilation openings clear and follow the care instructions if you find damage. Clean and fully dry the cover before folding it away.
