Rain & Moisture
A little preparation before the rain.
Make moisture checks part of your outdoor routine. Start with the instructions for your furniture and cover, then prepare the surfaces, fit and space beneath it.

-
Start with dry surfaces.
Clear loose leaves and debris, then clean your furniture only as its care instructions allow. Let the furniture, cushions and cover dry before covering. If cushions need separate storage, follow their own guidance rather than assuming they should stay outside beneath a cover.
-
Check what the cover is designed to do.
Read the water-resistance information and use limits for the exact cover you are considering. A rain scene or water droplets in a photo do not tell you how seams or the whole cover perform. If the product information does not answer your question, ask before choosing.
Measure the outer width, depth and height, and check the shape and specified fitting allowance. Prepare your measurement summary.
-
Fit it as instructed.
Follow the cover’s installation guidance for orientation, bottom-edge position and any fastenings it provides. Keep any designed ventilation openings clear. Follow the product’s guidance for standing water; do not assume every cover can support pooled water or that a tighter fit solves the problem.
-
Recheck after changing weather.
Look beneath the cover for moisture and debris, and check the fit and fastening points. If surfaces or cushions are damp, follow their drying and storage instructions before covering again. A cover does not replace regular checks.
