Installation & Maintenance
Fit it with care. Keep it ready.
Use this guide alongside the instructions supplied with your specific cover and the furniture or equipment underneath it. Fastenings, cleaning methods, and use limits can differ between products.

-
Prepare the item and cover.
Check that the cover is intended for the item and size you have. Read the installation instructions and identify the front, back, and any fastening points before you begin.
Clear leaves and loose debris. Follow the furniture's own cleaning guidance, then let surfaces and the cover dry. Check for sharp edges or damage that could snag the fabric, and address them before fitting.
-
Place the cover in the correct orientation.
Position the cover as shown in its instructions. Check the top, corners, and bottom edge before fastening. If the cover catches or needs to be forced over a protruding part, stop and recheck the shape and size.
Do not use pulling or tightening to make an unsuitable size fit. Check the intended clearance and bottom-edge position for that model.
Review the measuring guide if the fit is uncertain.
-
Use the supplied fastenings as directed.
If your cover has straps, buckles, or a drawcord, use them only in the positions and manner shown by its instructions. Check that each fastening is attached to its intended point and that no part of the cover is snagged.
Keep any designed ventilation openings clear. Do not assume that fastening features or ventilation shown on another cover apply to yours.
-
Check during use.
Recheck the cover's position, fastening points, and condition regularly, including after changing weather. Look beneath it for trapped moisture or debris and follow the care guidance for both the cover and the item.
Allow damp surfaces to dry before covering again. Follow the product's guidance for standing water, snow, and exposure limits; a cover does not remove the need for regular care.
-
Clean according to the care label.
Read the care label before selecting a cleaning product or method. Use only the methods allowed for your particular cover. Do not assume machine washing, heat drying, or a cleaning agent is suitable because it is used on another outdoor fabric.
If the label is missing or unclear, ask for the instructions before cleaning. Check for damage or worn fastenings before the next use.
-
Remove, dry, and store.
Release the fastenings before removing the cover, following its instructions. Let it dry fully before folding and store it in a clean, dry place according to its storage guidance.
Before refitting, check the cover's condition and confirm the item is dry. For AC equipment, remove the cover before operation and follow the manufacturer's requirements for your exact unit.
Ask about your cover's instructions or prepare for changing weather.
